Assange vs. Zuckerberg

And saying ‘news flash’ is? News flash: it isn’t a news flash, and neither is this, you dumb, dumb fothermucker.

I would be able to take this man a lot more seriously if he used proper grammar and spelling.

The lives at stake are at stake because of the American government… Not the fault of Assange. Wake up.

I hope you are not for real with this comment, because if you are, then you are utterly stupid. The rape acusation was a desperate attempt from the stupid government of the stupid US.

Oh boy, do I love it when stupid people do this kind of stuff. Learn2Grammar then you can turn your computer back on.

^That is absolutely ridiculous. regardless of what your stance on the war is, there are still people’s lives at stake. That’s like saying we shouldn’t pay our taxes just because you don’t like the president that was elected.

Because the info that Assange has given out has endangered lives.  He put the operating parameters for the Warlock counter IED equipment out in the open, frequency ranges and everything.  Why did that need to be in the public domain?

No? actually Yes, ha gave away names of informants in the middle east. No matter how much you like this guy, no matter how much good you think he did. Naming informants negates anything good he did.

Poor Julian Assange.  Wannabe freedom fighter who makes other wannabe freedom fighters feel special by giving them information that they aren’t supposed to have but still don’t know what to do with when they have it.

No… he reveals very secret information that shines a light on the corporate puppet masters of this country that are siphoning the wealth out of our pockets and into the hands of the worlds weathy international banking interests. . .

I beg to differ. Most users don’t understand the sheer scope of personal information shared between Facebook and it’s advertisers and assume it simply boils down to basic profile information. That doesn’t include all the sites that use facebook cookie information to tell facebook which websites you’ve visited so they can supply you with more advertisements.

the problem is that often people aren’t aware that their public information is available for third parties on Facebook. in essence, it is thus the same.

so many of you are opinionated yet very few have the power of reason and intellectual integrity to see the obvious. I will refer you to JFK’s “secret societies speech” and the words of many men such as gandhi MLK and many others who have been assassinated by trying to empower the people and encourage truth openness and equality. the world media is rife with stories of slander propaganda and accusations, rarely are any of these priority issues or informative on those who hold the power and responsibility so selfishly and with snobbery and ignorance to the value of other human beings and the things they treasure or shoulld treasure if not so ill informed.

I LIVED IN TAMPA WHEN HE DIED I FELT THE ONLY PROPER THING TO DO WAS LEAVE A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS AND A BOTTLE OF OXYCLEAN ON HIS DOORSTEP

and yet Anthony, despite you absolute belief in this nothing of the sort has been demonstrated and as such you have no argument.
The other issue here is balance. Is it better for democracies to know the true motives of governments/corporations and their wars and maybe have the opportunity to stop them or, like yourself Joseph, blithely accept everything they do is in your best interests and risk the lives of millions?
You’re a little government echo chamber Joseph Anthony Smith and you have the right address for it

Don’t kiss the fag’s ass. That’s just what he wants, and if I’ve learned anything from the Bush years, that’s just one more way the terrorists will have won.

Clearly you have a very limited view as to what your “AMERICAN FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICERS, CIA PERSONNEL , COVERT MILITARY OPERATIVES…” do while they are out in the world “… PUT[ing] THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE … ”

I am confident if the American government wasn’t operating in the moral gray areas that they would not have as big of an issue with possible leaks. If you question this perhaps you should ask yourself who governs the government’s secret agents? And if you think its the president or anyone who is in the public eye you are just as brainwashed and naive as they want you to be.

Open your eyes and ask questions.

SORRY SIR, BUT ONLY BILLY MAYS IS ABLE TO TALK IN ALL CAPS. PLEASE LRN2NOT BE A FAG

I BELIEVE THAT MANY OF ACTIONS HAVE BEEN RECKLESS AND IRRESPONSIBLE ! MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN EXPOSED TO DANGER BECAUSE OF YOUR EFFORTS , THESE MATTERS THAT CONCERN THE WELFARE AND SAFETY OF AMERICAN FOREIGN SERVICE OFFICERS, CIA PERSONNEL , COVERT MILITARY OPERATIVES , ALL OF WHOM , PUT THEIR LIVES ON THE LINE , EVERYDAY , DESERVE TO HAVE THEIR COVER I.D.’S AND MEANS AND METHODS OF GATHERING CONFIDENTIAL DATA THAT IS CRITICAL TO THE PROTECTION OF THE CITIZENS OF UNITED STATES , IS NOT A MATTER FOR SOME FOOL SUCH AS YOURSELF , TO PLAY AROUND WITH!

look, i totally agree with you, but your words mean nothing until they get to people who can really spread the message. Until that happens, nothing will change the way we all want it to change
signed, a 12 year old

I do not agree with your style all the time but (BUT)without people like mr Assange the people would NEVER hear the TRUTH. Politicians and corporations have raped and pillaged the world for their own greed for CENTURIES.Politicians in America have stilen and squandered our money with impunity. They have not served the people since I was three years old and I am now 50 years old. They gave all of our money to pricks on wallstreet that was not enough so now americans are in debt to CHINA,yetthey still spend 750 million in 2 weeks killing libyans.WITH BORROWED MONEY that they borrowed in yours and my name they will still be rich crooks while we get further and further in debt .Maybe someday we could take back our country. We should (the majority )honest working men and women sacrifice alot and just stop going to work and tell the corporations and politicians to do all the work themselves.THINK cival rights you sheep!!! they couldn’t work a day in their lives .Not a shot would have to be fired I believe they would kill some of us HAVE NO doubts but in the end we would prevail and perhaps we could actually vote on how we spend OUR MONEY.Not just vote for the guy who is tells the most convincing LIES in order to have the power to do as they want with OUR MONEY!!!! signed Randy Anderton

Pretty sure Julian didn’t say this, but that it’s a quote from Saturday night live.

well he’s not putting anything in danger except governments reputation. he has been into a lot of secret information and never published something that could put in danger our safety.

“Assange has received a number of awards and nominations, including the 2009 Amnesty International Media Award for publishing material about extrajudicial killings in Kenya and Readers’ Choice for Time magazine’s 2010 Person of the Year.”

Selfish in its want for knowledge… that is the stupidest statement ever made.
Do not have kids your genes need to be gone for the good of humanity.

Oh yes, this information puts “operatives” in danger and could cause an “international incident”! BUT, you know, the information changes nothing, according to you. Do you proofread?

First, why the fuck do we need “operatives”? Oh, that’s right, to “gather information”.
Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? How many people like yourself have world governments convinced that international relations need to be handled like a James Bond movie? What information would be so fucking sensitive if it didn’t have someone’s private interests behind it? People get suspicious after all sorts of being “left in the dark” by their own governments, and with good reason. “You don’t need to know”, and accusations of compromising national security are weak arguments with no measurable basis (you know, because that stuff is secret to begin with!!!). We’re citizens of our respective countries, not their fucking children. So sorry if some of us have a functioning brain that allows us to criticize government relations’ and their so-secret affairs that are much too sensitive to bring to light.

Let there be an “international incident” I say, I’m tired of this secret club bureaucracy bullshit.

you’re an idiot…exposing how corrupt the world really is, is the greatest thing anyone has done. The world needed this to protect us from retards like you.

The people who decide what people need to know are the people who know that information and what that information could incite if it is released. Not a sociopath like Assange.

We don’t need to know the specifics like what was released. That does more harm then good. Your shortsighted hunger for classified information not only puts operatives in danger but could cause an international incident. All governments have operatives working inside other countries. That is how information is gathered. By releasing the detailed reports directly you expose those operatives and the country to more danger than necessary. So quit crying about transparency and grow the fuck up. You don’t need to know and it doesn’t help you make any informed decisions to know what ambassadors are saying about each other or what split second decision was made in the heat of a current battle. This information changes nothing. If you want something to fight why don’t you focus your energy on the way political discourse takes place in the media and in campaigning. Or better yet, why not focus on the corruption within the house and senate.

Absolutely awesome!

A simple statement that says it all.

I’m adding this nugget to my pet project site which talks a lot about supporting Julian Assange and the present bogus witch hunt which is chasing him.

you suck cock, people need to know what is going on in the government. people like you keep us trapped, with no progress in sight. we need more transparency.
